We oppose HB 2400 (tax credit scholarship-new form of voucher)

The House Education Committee is considering HB2400, the corporate education tax credit scholarship program, another ALEC/Florida Reform bill. Tax credit scholarship programs are today’s version of vouchers. We are sharing our post from our friends in North Carolina, quoting a story from our friends in New Hampshire which highlights problems with lack of accountability, transparency and oversight, along with the issue of public funds supporting religious schools in Florida, Arizona, Georgia, Louisiana and Pennsylvania. This is another example of bad policy being pushed on us by groups outside of Kansas that diverts funding from public schools. Tell House Education Committee members to OPPOSE a tax credit scholarshp program in Kansas. http://portsmouth-nh.patch.com/blog_posts/coming-to-nh-education-tax-credit-scandal-from-around-the-nation
