“I think the whole case is built on a misunderstanding of what we do spend,” said Rep. Huebert.
But schools say they’re not getting enough money to provide a good education.
“Too many kids in the classroom. Not enough individual attention. No opportunity for summer school. No opportunity for extended learning opportunities to really help kids who need more help,” said Rupe.
Rep. Huebert, we do understand what we spend, but we also understand what is needed.

TOPEKA, Kan. (AP) — The Kansas Supreme Court will release its ruling on a state school finance lawsuit Friday, ending months of speculation about whether the state has to increase spending for public schools.
