**ACTION ALERT** LOB hearings will be Wednesday of next week. Here is info from your budget packet about the impact on Derby:
Supplemental General Fund or LOB – Due to legislation passed in 2009, the district has been able to maintain its LOB at the same levels utilizing a BSAPP of $4,433 (the BSAPP in 2009). However, there has been a reduction in equalization funding provided by the state and therefore, local property taxes have gone up. This provision that was put into place by the legislature in 2009 is due to sunset on June 30, 2014 unless the legislature agrees to extend it. If it expires this June, USD 260 would lose approximately $1.5 million in operating money.
