Here’s another warning on charters from Ohio.
“We were told at the beginning, ‘We can do it cheaper and better.’ And they are doing it at twice the cost and it’s worse,” said [Stephen] Dyer.
Charter schools are funded by the state on the backs of school districts and taxpayers. . .
Since 2011, when [Attorney General Mike] DeWine moved into office, his staff has been charged with the task of collecting $30 million from failed charter schools. It has collected a little more than $422,000.
Nearly $30.5 million in tax money is still uncollected.”
