Game On community, thank you to those who voted, got your friends and family to vote, phone banked, canvassed, donated and began discussing politics in your social circles. The results are in, and we are left with leadership that does not properly prioritize public education, despite what their ads and post cards said. We know the current budget is unsustainable, and we know that cuts to education are coming, and the situation will become a lot more “real” to people as we move forward. Today, we have 4 requests for you.
1. Thank the candidates in your area who ran tough campaigns and fought for what is right, often while facing attacks.
2. Don’t give up. Our children need and deserve our continued efforts.
3. Thank a teacher. Teachers are painfully aware of what is looming. They were treated with contempt and disdain by some in the 2014 legislative session, and they will face direct repercussions of this election. They will be asked to do more with less and will get blamed for falling scores.
4. Go to Facebook, take your mouse and click on “invite your friends” to like this page, or tell your friends about this website. We’ve got more Kansans to educate and get in the game.
