Sharing from our friends at Kansas Action for Children: “There are 317 unfilled teaching positions in Kansas. This is a troubling trend that can have ramifications that ripple throughout a community.

“We already saw the troubling situation in Garden City, where a teaching vacancy forced the school district to choose between a kindergarten teacher and their pre-k program.

“As a state we must do better by our kids to make sure this isn’t a situation more schools are faced with in the future.”
