“Public Education is not a partisan issue! As a Board we represent all people in a non-partisan way. I have been told by many Republican legislators that the extremism which has taken root in Topeka is determined to dismantle Public Education in Kansas. For many key members of the Extremist Caucus in the Brownback Legislature, the goal is to end Public School as we know it and replace it with their version of private school. This has played out in other states and it has failed horribly. Kansas has the 5th best Public Education System in America. The #1-4 and #6-25 all receive more support from their respective state legislatures.

“We can be #1 if we had real leaders in Topeka, not extremist with personal agendas.

“This Board Member does not squirm at the sight of a bully. If they continue down this path of extremism and work to privatize our schools through underfunding and denying court rulings I hope you didn’t elect me to stand by and watch; I hope you didn’t elect me to hand them the keys to one of Kansas’ greatest resources.”
