1. Some things belong in the category of charity – for example, “A world free of MS”, probably a good fit.

2. Other things aren’t such a good fit for charity – for example, public education, paving streets, safe neighborhoods, immunizations and disease prevention, to quickly name a few.

3. Kansans are, by nature, ‘take care of your neighbor’ types, but it becomes harder to accomplish that with scant resources.”
