As the state reviews tax credits amid a mind-boggling budget crisis, we urge them to eliminate the corporate tax credit scholarship program which results in tax credits for corporations donating money to SGOs with no requirement of showing any return on the investment in terms of better results for students. The program is capped at $10 million right now, and that money comes straight out of the State General Fund.
