The Kansas Supreme Court issued its decision on the equity portion of the Gannon case on February 11th. It basically upholds the District Panel decision, holds the current system unconstitutional and gives the legislature until June 30 to fix the inequity by whatever means the legislature chooses. If it doesn’t, the funding system will be declared unconstitutional and the mechanism for funding will cease to exist.
