Advocates marched 60 miles to push for better education

“Public education advocates say the march is a way to voice their frustration with the government’s handling of public education…

“I’m happy to see as many people as there are here so far, I think it’s an indication that people are starting to understand that this is not what we want for our Kansas public schools and we need to do better,” said Executive Director for Game on Kansas, Judith Deedy…

“’Things get worse rather than better, we’ve continued to do the walk and it’s grown every year,’ said Deedy. ‘So we want to send a message, this is not a Johnson County issue, this is not just a Southern Kansas issue, this is a statewide issue.'”
