“’We’re at a point we can’t have any more reductions to the teaching staff,’ Patton said.

“’Many of us (districts) have cut to the bare bone. We’ve been frugal as we can without impacting kids.’

“If the district has to make any more cuts, it will impact class size. They have reached the minimum number of teachers per student and there’s not room for a size change.”
