It’s time for Installment #2 of the Postcard Chronicles. Americans for Prosperity is flooding the mailboxes of Kansans represented by moderate Republicans who voted to restore fiscal sanity to our state and supported adequate school funding. AFP is a Koch-funded organization that opposes all taxes and opposes public education. We generally find that when we have a position on an issue, AFP and its paid lobbyist are on the other side. In 2016, we finally escaped life under a legislature that listened to AFP instead of constituents. We don’t want to go back! So please remember, income tax rates are still lower than they were in 2012, and we asked legislators to restore funding for essential services. That’s not going on a spending spree; that’s being a responsible civil servant. We asked these legislators to take difficult votes, and now it’s time for us to have their backs. Don’t fall for the postcards and don’t let your friends and family members fall for them either. #friendsdontletfriendsvotebasedondeceptivepostcards
