Some legislators and Koch-funded policy advocates claim Florida is a model for Kansas. It isn’t now and it looks like it won’t be for the foreseeable future.

“In other words, all the hijackers are lined up to grab a healthy haul from Florida’s school districts. The districts can ill afford the loss. Florida currently ranks 41st in total education spending per pupil; 46th in teacher salaries; 51st in public school revenue for every $1,000 of in-state personal income — a pathetic showing for the state with the fourth-largest GDP.”
