Action Alert: Urge your senator to oppose Senate Bill 22. Senate President Susan Wagle has fast-tracked an extremely risky tax bill, which will be heard on the Senate floor tomorrow (Wednesday). This bill deals with the interplay between federal and state tax law. Its full impact is not yet clear, and its benefits are skewed towards large corporations and the wealthy. The simple reality is that Kansas is still climbing out of the hole created by the former administration. We cannot afford a tax cut right now, especially while the full impact of the current tax plan and the proposed bill are unknown.
