ALEC creates model bills and brings together corporate interests and legislators behind closed doors. We opposed several ALEC education bills in the 2013 Kansas legislative session. They recently even proposed to have legislators sign a loyalty oath: “I will act with care and loyalty and put the interests of the organization first.”
