Brownback’s request for more time means you’re out of luck — it’s just unfortunate that you happen to be a public school student now, when taxes have dipped and operational per-pupil spending must be pared back.

“The state has plenty of time. You? Maybe not…[E]xpecting today’s students to sacrifice because the economy might get better down the road is a pretty tough ask.
