Happy Thanksgiving! We take this time to give thanks to all those who have worked to protect public education in Kansas. Thank you to the over 15,000 of you who follow us on Facebook and Twitter and especially those who like, comment, share and retweet our information. Thank you to all the teachers, staff, administrators and school board members who work to give our children the education they need. Thank you to the parents and other community members who volunteer their time and energy to support our schools and the children they serve. Thank you to Kansans who are communicating with their legislators on public education issues. Thank you to the members of the Kansas legislature who cast some difficult votes during the 2017 legislative session to begin to restore fiscal sanity and adequate funding to our schools. Thank you to our judges and justices who have continued to hold our legislators to their constitutional obligation to our children. Thank you to our advocacy partners throughout the state for their tireless efforts and moral support. And thank you to advocates in other states who are pushing back against the anti-public education agenda. We have much to be thankful for!
