It’s election time which means it’s time for another installment of our Postcard Chronicles. We have learned that ultraconservative candidates like to send deceptive postcards misrepresenting themselves and their opponents. We want you and your friends and neighbors to know the real story, so we put together Postcard Chronicles to inform our team. This year’s Chronicle #1 is being sent by a former legislator attacking Rep. Mary Martha Good. Rep. Good is one of the heroic legislators who came into office in 2016 promising to help get our state back on solid fiscal ground and to support public education. She kept her promises and has consistently voted in accordance with Game On’s policy on all of the bills we tracked in her two years in the Kansas House.
Will Carpenter is one of the ultraconservatives who were ousted in the 2016 elections. He voted against the positions of Game On on school funding, judicial selection, budget, tax, and moving local elections. He also voted for a punitive bill that would have fined districts $1,000 a day for failing to provide additional reports of information already publicly available, and he was an ALEC member and had the state of Kansas pay his fees to attend an ALEC conference in California.

We are grateful to Rep. Good and absolutely do not want to relive the bad policy decisions and fiscal disasters we are finally escaping. #friendsdontletfriendsvotebasedondeceitfulpostcards
