We first shared this video from a tax credit scholarship expansion hearing almost exactly a year ago. In it, a private school representative acknowledged that they can and sometimes do transition kids out because they aren’t performing academically. We continue to believe that private schools should not receive public tax dollars if they are not required to accept all children and not required to keep the students they accept.
The K-12 Education Budget Committee is hearing this year’s version of its big voucher bill (an ESA HB 2550) tomorrow at 3:30.
Contact the members of the K-12 Education Budget Committee and urge them to oppose this bill.
