Vote Jennifer Lloyd

We believe Jennifer Lloyd would much better represent the interests of Kansas students and public schools than Amy Cawvey who is being supported by Moms for Liberty and the 1776 Project PAC. Listen to those who ousted Cawvey after her first term on the Lansing school board.

From We the People of Lansing USD 469

“Lansing voters had four years to judge Amy Cawvey’s leadership up close. In 2025, they chose not to return her to the board of education. That matters because Cawvey is now asking District 1 voters to view that same Lansing record as evidence that she is ready for the State Board of Education. She talks often about being willing to “stand up and fight” — KASB, KNEA, administrators, and others she sees as part of the problem.

She clearly knows how to fight. But fighting is not the same as improving schools. During those four years, Lansing students improved in important areas because students, teachers, administrators, and families were doing the daily work of education.

So the more important question is: What did Cawvey’s approach to leadership actually contribute to those results? Much of the record she now highlights centers on political and ideological fights – parental-rights legislation, DEI, books, gender policies, board-member authority, KASB, and KNEA.

The question for State Board voters is not whether she is willing to stand up. It is what she stands up for – and whether it actually helps students.”
