Ousley explains problems with moving local elections

We hear a lot about legislator support of local control, but SB 171 passed out of the Senate Ethics and Elections Committee despite being opposed by numerous school boards, municipalities and other local entities. There are legislators in Kansas who share the view that we really shouldn’t even have public schools. You can sometimes catch them referring to them as “government” schools.
