While we were completing our walk, KASB was having their Legislative Day. We thank school board members who traveled to Topeka to meet with legislators! We also thank the superintendents who were in the capitol testifying on education appropriations. It looks like Kansas is having an Education Spring. A Great Day to be in Topeka! Lots of activity at the Capitol. KASB Legislative Day kicked off this morning with a briefing from Mark Tallman, then everyone is headed to meetings and visits with legislators....

Current proposals to increase funding to comply with Gannon equity decision include other cuts to operating budgets. Our operating budgets have already been cut over the past several years and are already too low.
