Poll shows Kansans want increased funding for schools

Dear women of Kansas, please talk to the men in your lives. In a recent poll, 71% of women felt that K-12 funding should be increased, while 61% of men felt K-12 funding should be increased. Kansas Board of Education meets with legislators

KS Bd of Ed met with legislators yesterday. Sen. Melcher complained of “generous” funding and stagnant test scores without acknowledging large increases in students in poverty and ELLs. Other legislators said consolidation would save money but no one will propose it because doing so would be political suicide. Game On for Kansas Schools is not a well-funded front group for left-wing special interests

Why would the KS GOP choose to mislead people about Game On? Is it important for them to draw attention away from Game On’s public education advocacy efforts?
