Our schools are overfunded, we need a constitutional amendment so meddlesome courts don’t order the legislature to fund schools, we need a constitutional amendment so we can select judges who won’t oppose the legislature and governor, tax cuts won’t affect school funding-just a few examples of recent political language in Kansas....

 Unfortunately tax policy is very directly related to school funding. While income tax cuts are appealing, Brownback’s race to slash them is troubling, especially in light of numerous experts who have refuted Laffer’s theories (even George H. W.
