The Continuous Learning Task Force worked throughout the night on a comprehensive plan for delivering education to students while school buildings remain closed. The Kansas House has passed on emergency final action SB 142 allowing KSDE to waive minimum hours requirements for school hours in case of a public emergency. The Kansas Senate has now passed SB 142 (the House passed it earlier today) allowing KSDE to waive minimum hours requirements for school districts in case of a public emergency.
