Misleading ads designed to undermine confidence in public schools to promote school “choice” and continued underfunding of traditional public schools

KPI (ALEC/AFP’s Kansas relative) is proceeding with step one of the ALEC playbook-undermine confidence in the existing public school system. That lays the groundwork for step 2 which is diverting public funds to private schools, online schools and a distorted version of charters. How about we recognize the rising needs of our schools in terms of children living in poverty, English language learners and the increasing demands of a globalized economy and stop fighting court cases calling current funding unconstitutional and make the schools that take ALL children the best they can be?
